Maker Faire Gent

[EN] A race with washing machines, the launch of a jet engine,… Feel free to describe a Maker Faire as ‘a crazy do-it-yourself funfair’ where reality effortlessly exceeds imagination.
A Maker Faire is not a DIY or inventor fair. No workshop day or pro panel. It’s all those things together in one place. Innovation, creativity and curiosity are the keywords of the festival. From hand and soldering work to robots, drones, games and cosplay. There is plenty to see, experience and do for all ages. There is no doubt that the formula works. The first edition in 2019 was completely sold out. Maker Faire Gent is therefore moving to a larger location: Chinastraat, an industrial site in the heart of Ghent.

Een Maker Faire is geen doe-het-zelf of uitvindersbeurs. Geen workshopdag of pro-panel. Het is al die dingen samen op één plek. Innovatie, creativiteit en curiositeit zijn de sleutelwoorden van het festival. Van hand- en soldeerwerk tot robots, drones, games en cosplay. Er is van alles te zien, te beleven en te doen voor alle leeftijden. Dat de formule werkt, staat buiten kijf. De eerste editie in 2019 was volledig uitverkocht. Maker Faire Gent verhuist daarom naar een grotere locatie: Chinastraat, een industriële site in hartje Gent.
